Spruce shoot syrup
Elixir extracted from the spruces of the wild. Spruce shoots are new growth of a spruce – light green, succulent and soft. Sweet yet fresh, spruce shoot syrup is perfect for desserts and ice-cream or on toast and pancakes. Try also with root vegetables and barbecued steaks.
Moisten a cake with spruce shoot syrup.
Fry vendace in a mixture of oil and butter. Finally, season with sea salt and spruce shoot syrup.
